If you something top of the line then go for Michelin Energy XM2 or Bridgestone Turanza AR20 tyres. Both these tyres offer excellent wet and dry grip, long tread life and a very comfortable ride quality. They both perform equally well on all aspects expcept that Michelin Energy XM2 offer a better ride quality than Bridgestone.
In case you want something less expensive then go for Yokohama Earth-1. This tyre also offers superior traction and long tread life with good comfort.
However, If you are looking at an economical option that offers decent grip but a very good tread life then MRF ZVTSwould be a good option.
Hope this helps.
I am assuming that you want tyres for Honda City Idtec. ( As you did not specify vehice model in your question ). SUitable size in 195mm width would be 195/60 R15.
I would suggest that you should go for Michelin Primacy 3ST tyres. These offer excellent wet and dry grip, exceptional ride comfort, precise handling and long tread life.
However, if you have an aggressive driving style and want high-performance tyres then Bridgestone Potenza GIII tyres would be a great choice. These tyres offer exceptional wet and dry grip and crisp handling. But since these are high performance tyres, the ride comfort and tread life will not be as good as with Michelin Primacy 3ST.
Hope this helps. Drive safe !

Hi Ramit, I am driving Vitara brezza zdi and car has clocked 43000 kms with apollo alanca tyres. My daily run is between 80- 100 kms in which 60 percent is on road and 40 percent on bad roads. In this period speed is under 70 kmph. Now on next service I want to change the tyres. Right now i am getting 18-20 kmpl avrg. I want to go for Michellin tyres but one of my friend who is good year dealer is suggesting me Good year offraoding tyre. What will you suggest Good Year is best or michellin. I dont want to compromise on Fuel economy.Read More
Even though all- terrain tyres would best suit your usage, I am afraid there doesn't exist any good all-terrain that suits Brezza.
Since a lot of your usage is on rough roads, I would not recommend Michelin. You can go for Goodyear Assurance Triplemax tyres as they are somewhat durable over rough roads. Other tyres that you could consider include Bridgestone Turanza ER370.
Try keeping a moderate speed over the rough stretch in order to avoid damaging tyres.
Go for Bridgestone B290.It is a great product, offers superior grip and very good ride comfort. The tread life on these tyres is quite good as well.
In case you want an economical option then Bridgestone B250 would be good.
I would recommend that you go for Bridgestone Turanza series, as these tyres offer better performance, comfort and tread life as compared to Ecopia.
Also, it would be best to keep in mind that at times tyre bulges occur due to an intense contact with curb or any other sharp object. Perhaps this could help in maintaining tyres. Other times, tyre bulge can be a result of a manufacturing defect, in which case, you can claim warranty on the tyres if they are under warranty period.
To claim warranty, you will have to take the tyres to a certified Bridgestone dealership, where the tyre would be inspected to deduce if the bulges were caused by a manufacturing defect.
While both are good brands, yet, Continental tyres offer better performance and traction. However, please ensure that you buy Continental tyres from authorized dealers only and get a valid invoice and warranty card.
These MRF ZVTS will last a long time and are also very affordable. Many compact cars come with these tyres from the factory.
Spending a little more for the Bridgestone B290 will give you better grip and much less road noise.
These Bridgestone Turanzas are the cream, though. They are extremely quiet and the grip on wet roads is exceptional. As expected, the price is also on the higher side.
My personal recommendation would be the B290 as it offers a fantastic balance of grip, road noise and aren't that pricey either.
Sounds like you're clearly looking go for a better tyre than what came with the car.
Here are two options to consider:
While you'll be able to feel the improved grip and less road noise instantly with both the tyres, the Turanza will offer exceptional wet road grip because of its grip pattern. However, it's at the cost of slightly more road noise than the B290. If you don't see much rain in your area, the B290 will offer marginally better dry grip with increased contact patch.
Side note: These tyres can also fit on Hyundai i10, Maruti Wagon R, Renault Kwid, and Maruti Celerio.
Hankook Optimo K424 ME02 is a pretty good tyre, offers a good comfortable ride with great traction and handling, yet, Bridgestone Turanza AR20 is a better buy.
This is because AR20 consists of silica enriched compound which makes for superior wet performance and also enhances tyre life. Even the comfort on this tyre is pretty good. Also, Bridgestone has better after sales support as compared to Hankook.
Hands down, Michelin energy XM2 is a far better tyre. In case you are comparing Michelin Energy XM1 then go for Bridgestone B250 as it is more durable. In case your usage is more over rough or unpaved surface then Bridgestone Turanza AR20 would be a better option instead of Energy XM2.
