- Q.hi i need to change tyres for my xylo pls suggestA.
Hi Smitha, Goodyear Wrangler RT/S Tyre would be a good tyre to begin with for your Xylo. And if in case you want something better then go for Yokohama Geolandar A/T-S. It performs really well over rough terrains. If you use your vehicle strictly over highways/ paved roads then you can go for Falken Wildpeak H/T01 or Bridgestone Dueler. - Q.Bridgestone or Yokohama?A.
Hello Shanmugam Balasubramaniam, What you asked is analogous to which brand is better- Mercedes or BMW ? Can we answer this question without comparing specific models from these brands? No...right? Similarly, Bridgestone and Yokohama, they both are very good tyre brands. A better comparison can be drawn with regards to specific tyre models of these brands. If you let me know the vehicle and model for which you want to buy tyres, and a bit more about your requirements, then I guess I would be in a better position to help you. - Q.dear sir i am using i10 sportz. tyre specification 155/80 R13 79 S. can u suggest which comapany is good?A.
Hello Anil, If you something top of the line then go for Michelin Energy XM2 or Bridgestone Turanza AR20 tyres. Both these tyres offer excellent wet and dry grip, long tread life and a very comfortable ride quality. They both perform equally well on all aspects expcept that Michelin Energy XM2 offer a better ride quality than Bridgestone. In case you want something less expensive then go for Yokohama Earth-1. This tyre also offers superior traction and long tread life with good comfort. However, If you are looking at an economical option that offers decent grip but a very good tread life then MRF ZVTS would be a good option. Hope this helps. - Q.Looking for an advise whether to stick to the Goodyear tyres or go for something else for ecosport titanium model. Usually driven on bad roads. Please suggestA.
Hi Piyush, You can choose out of MRF Wanderer Sport or Bridgestone Firestone FR500 tyres. In terms of grip and comfort, Firestone is a better product but Wanderer is more durable. So, if you drive over very bad roads then MRF Wanderer would be good, but for a moderate use over paved and unpaved roads, FIrestone should be a good choice. - Q.I am looking for best performance tyres for Honda idtec 2014 under 195 width. I don't want to compromise with the quality.A.
Hi Tarun, I am assuming that you want tyres for Honda City Idtec. ( As you did not specify vehice model in your question ). SUitable size in 195mm width would be 195/60 R15. I would suggest that you should go for Michelin Primacy 3ST tyres. These offer excellent wet and dry grip, exceptional ride comfort, precise handling and long tread life. However, if you have an aggressive driving style and want high-performance tyres then Bridgestone Potenza GIII tyres would be a great choice. These tyres offer exceptional wet and dry grip and crisp handling. But since these are high performance tyres, the ride comfort and tread life will not be as good as with Michelin Primacy 3ST. Hope this helps. Drive safe ! Regards, RamitAnswered 31 Oct 2017 12:00:47
- Q.I recently bought Hyundai Elantra diesel AT, it currently runs on Hankook 205/60/16 and I am looking to replace the OEM tyre and alloys. I am not sure what size of tyre should I go for. The options i had in mind were: 215/60/16 215/55/16 215/55/17 215/50/17. Also which brand of tyre should i opt for, i want a comfortable ride without compromising on grip and performance. If i upsize to 17 inch will it affect the suspension and the fuel efficiency a lot ?A.
Hello Naval Pradeep, You should go for 215/60 R16 tyre size as it will offer better road grip and more responsive braking without impacting the ride quality and handling. Rest of the sizes mentioned by you are low profile tyres which would hamper the ride quality due to reduced side profile. The rims/alloys may also get damaged easily over rough tarmac. You should go for Michelin Primacy 3ST. These tyres offer excellent ride quality, superior grip, precise handling and a very long tread life. You may also go for Bridgestone Turanza T001. This tyre is on par with Michelin in terms of grip and performance but lacks slightly in terms of ride quality. You can upsize to 17" alloys. It will not have any impact on fuel efficiency or ride quality. In fact, opting for tyres in 17" rims would offer better road grip and more responsive braking. But it is an expensive affair. Hello Sonal, Go for Bridgestone B290.It is a great product, offers superior grip and very good ride comfort. The tread life on these tyres is quite good as well. In case you want an economical option then Bridgestone B250 would be good. Regards, RamitAnswered 09 Oct 2017 11:44:24
- Q.I have fod figo 1.5D titanium nov-2012 model car. It's runnning is 34000kms now .I'm thinking of changing tyres .please recommend me the best tyres for my car .My running is on long routes mostly and city use occassionally.thanksA.
Hello Amol, Since your majority of usage is over highways, you would require tyres that not only perform well over weta ndd ry surfaces but are also very safe and offer a very comfortable ride quality. Keeping these factors in mind, I would recommend that you go for Bridgestone Turanza AR 20 or Michelin Energy XM2. Both these tyres offer superior wet and dry grip, precise handling and control, effective braking but in terms of ride quality and comfort, Michelin is a tad better than Bridgestone. Michlein would also offer you longer tread life. Drive safely ! Regards RamitAnswered 21 Jul 2017 09:01:23
- Q.What is difference of Bridgestone tyre Turanza Er 300 and Ecopia Ep 150 of same company -195 65 R15 which is better ?A.
Hello Prakaassh, Both, Bridgestone Turanza ER300 and Ecopia EP150 are very good tyres and have respective benefits. Turanza ER300 is basically an ultimate touring tyre. It offers superior wet and dry grip, comfortable ride quality, precise handling and good braking efficiency. It is extremely suitable for long highway drives as well as regular city use and has a very good tread life. Ecopia EP150 is actually an eco-friendly tyre. So, while running it emits less carbon in the atmosphere and also improves the fuel efficiency of the vehicle by up to 7% approximately. It is very suitable for city as well as highway drives. Offers good wet and dry grip and handling, but not as good as Turanza. So, if you want a tyre for long highway drives and supreme handling and grip then go for Turanza ER300, but if you want to go for tyres that improve fuel efficiency, are eco-friendly and offer good performance, then Ecopia EP150 would be the right choice. To summarize, Ecopia is a very good tyre, but Turanza is Great. Hope this is helpful . - Q.i have got bridgestone b390 in 2012 for my innova, set of 2 tyres... to my surprise both the tyres got bubble. So should i go for Turanza are Ecopia now. What do u suggest?A.
Hello Vinnu, I would recommend that you go for Bridgestone Turanza series, as these tyres offer better performance, comfort and tread life as compared to Ecopia. Also, it would be best to keep in mind that at times tyre bulges occur due to an intense contact with curb or any other sharp object. Perhaps this could help in maintaining tyres. Other times, tyre bulge can be a result of a manufacturing defect, in which case, you can claim warranty on the tyres if they are under warranty period. To claim warranty, you will have to take the tyres to a certified Bridgestone dealership, where the tyre would be inspected to deduce if the bulges were caused by a manufacturing defect.
