Which tyre is better secure drive or Fuel smart

Hi Reetesh,

Both these tyres are fairly good in terms of their performance and traction. But there are some clear distinctions.

Fuel Smart is basically a fuel-efficient tyre from CEAT. It has low rolling resistance and thus consumes less fuel. Customers in their feedback have mentioned around 7 to 10% increase in fuel efficiency. The tyre also offers confident dry and wet grip along with a good tread life.

CEAT Secura Drive however is a bit better in terms of grip and stability. This tyre performs really good over wet surfaces and also responds well to steering inputs.

So, if your priority is fuel efficiency and you drive at moderate speed then go for FuelSmarrt . But if you are looking at good high-speed stability and handling along with good wet and dry grip then go for Secura Drive.

In fact, due to good grip levels, SecuraDrive is being used as stock tyre on the latest Hyundai Verna.

Hope this helps.

Ramit

Hello, i want to buy tire for my chvrolet beat desel., Ihave changed all the original tyre in last 5 years 70k KM. now the new ones need to change.. is it normal?

Hi Subratu,

Tyres usually run good gor around 40,000 kms. So I think it is necessary that you replace all tyres.

You can go for MRF ZV2K. It offers good grip and long tyre life. You can also look at Yokohama Earth-1 tyre. It offers good performance, durability and handling. Apollo Alnac is also a good tyre that you can look at.

In case you are looking at tyres that offer better fuel efficiency then go for Ceat Fuel Smarrt or Bridgestone Ecopia EP150. Ecopia would be our recommendation here.

Hi Rahul,

MRF ZV2K would be a good tyre to begin with.  And if you want something better then go for Bridgestone Turanza AR20.  In case budget is not an issue then you could go for Michelin Energy XM2 tyre. It is the best of the lot.

If you want tyres that offer better fuel efficiency then go for Ceat Fuel Smarrt or Bridgestone Ecopia EP150.

If you want to upsize then go for size 175/80 R14..any size wider than that would have its impact ont he fuel efficiency and tyre life.
