I have Chevy tavera 2012 model for my own use. I have completed 72000 kms with OEM Bridestone tyres with smooth driving. The people at alignment shop said that it will run more than 5000 kms. Should I continue with that or change to new tyres?

Hi Sir,

72,000 kms is quite a lot of mileage for a single set of tyres. Generally, tyres need replacement at about 50000 kms. However, it won't be possible to suggest if you need new set of tyres without inspecting the tyres. You can test the tread depth yourself to decide on that. Take a 1 rupee coin place it between the tyre tread. if the head of ashoka is visible from the side then you should replace the tyres. Also read: Importance of tread depth
