    Q.
I have a I-20 2010 model. Done 40000 KMS on existing Apollo tyres which came with the car. Recommend me tyres which will last me for 3-4 years when I plan to sell the car. Help me to choose within mrf and Apollo.
    A.

Hi Dalston,   I'm not sure what variant of I20 you drive. So I'll give you recommendations for both the available tyre sizes that were available in your 2010 i20. In approx 7 years you drove 40000km. An average of 6000km a year. At this rate, you'll need a tyre that can last 24000km. Pretty much all tyres will last this much. So, I'm suggesting softer compound tyres that offer good grip and a bit less road noise. Era and Magna: 175/70 R14 Apollo Alnac: Good noise insulation and water evacuation for wet roads https://tyres.cardekho.com/apollo/alnac/175-70-r14-84t8-tubeless MRF ZVTV: Hard compound will give long life and good fuel efficiency, will be noisy at higher speeds https://tyres.cardekho.com/mrf/zvtv/175-70-r14-84t-tubeless   If you're willing to look at more options: Bridgestone B290: Contains road noise very well, much grippier than the tyres you go from the factory. https://tyres.cardekho.com/bridgestone/b290/175-70-r14-84t-tubeless Falken Sincera: good stopping power compared to the B290 and good wet grip but will be noisier than the B290 https://tyres.cardekho.com/falken/sincera-sn835/175-70-r14-84t-tubeless   Sportz and Asta: 185/65 R14 Apollo Alnac 4G https://tyres.cardekho.com/apollo/alnac-4gs/185-65-r14-86h17-tubeless Other options: Bridgestone MY02: Looks good, offers good grip in dry conditions, wet grip is nothing exceptional https://tyres.cardekho.com/bridgestone/my02/185-65-r14-86h-tubeless Yokohama Earth1: A nice all-rounder. https://tyres.cardekho.com/yokohama/earth-1e400/185-65-r14-86h-tubeless   --Mahesh

    Q.
i m thinking change my tyre with yokohama tryes.bcz i m buying new ELITE i20 car . the showroom has recommended yokohama 16 inchs tyre with mag wheels
    A.

Hi Narendra, Mag wheels are good, 16 " tyres would be good too and Yokohama is great..so far everything seems to be quite good. Yokohama A- Drive would be a good tyre to begin with. In case you want something better then go for Yokohama S- Drive. However, keep in mind that these are performance oriented tyres. So while they will offer great performance and handling, they will wear out relatively soon as they are made up of soft rubber compound for high grip levels. In case you are looking at something which offers quiet and comfortable ride quality and has longer tyre life then go for Continental Conti Max Contact MC5. Regards
