    Q.
what are recommended tyre for Land Rover Freelander 2
    A.

Hi Sanjeev, Let me try to answer your by addressing different scenarios. 1. For Spirited driving- If you are someone who loves to drive this vehicle in a spirited or enthisiastic way, then I would suggest you to go for Michelin Latitude Sport 3 tyre. It would offer superb high speed control and improved steering precision. You can count on this tyre to keep your Freelander very stable on corners even at high speeds. 2. For extensive highway drives- If you undertake extensive highway drives then you require tyres that offer a very long tread life without comprising on safety and comfort. In such a scenario, I'd say you choose out of Michelin Latitude tour HP  or Pirelli Scorpion Verde. Both these tyres offer superb wet and dry grip, along with good comfort and a quiet ride quality. Michelin Latitude, although, would offer longer tread life. 3. For mild off-roading or for rough roads- If you drive over rough roads or often take your car for off-roading excursions then go for Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015. It is a very durable tyre and takes over rough roads with great ease. It also offers a long tread life. Hope this would be of some help. Regards, Ramit

    Q.
Please recommend me good tyre brand for VW Jetta. .\nAlready used Goodyear. Not happy. Then used Pirelli. I am happy with it but dealer is suggesting me for Michelin.
    A.

Hi Bhushan, Pirelli, Bridgestone, Continental, Michelin...these are all top brands in their segment and make great tyres. However, you need to figure out what would suit your needs the best. So, I would really appreciate if you could tell me a bit about your driving style (spirited or moderate), and  priorities that you are looking for in a tyre ( whether it is tyre life or comfort or high-speed handling etc.) This way I can be of a better help to you.   Sorry for not outrightly providing you with a tyre option, but I don't want to suggest you something that won't fit your needs. Hope you'd understand. Waiting to hear from you. Regards, Ramit

    Q.
dear sir i am using i10 sportz. tyre specification 155/80 R13 79 S. can u suggest which comapany is good?
    A.

Hello Anil, If you something top of the line then go for Michelin Energy XM2 or Bridgestone Turanza AR20 tyres. Both these tyres offer excellent wet and dry grip, long tread life and a very comfortable ride quality. They both perform equally well on all aspects expcept that Michelin Energy XM2 offer a better ride quality than Bridgestone.  In case you want something less expensive then go for Yokohama Earth-1. This tyre also offers superior traction and long tread life with good comfort. However, If you are looking at an economical option that offers decent grip but a very good tread life then MRF ZVTS would be a good option. Hope this helps. Regards, Ramit

    Q.
Looking for best tyres for ford EcoSport 205/60r16.. please throw some light on the recommendation. Currently it runs on MRF.
    A.

Hi Janarthanan, I would recommend that you go for Bridgestone Firestone FR500 tyre for your Ecosport. The tyre offers a very good ride quality and superior traction along with good good durability over rough or un-paved roads. In case you want a better tyre then go for Continental ContiMaxContact MC5 tyre. It would offer even better ride comfort and suoerior handling with exceptional grip. However, if budget is not a constraint and you want to go for something top of line then Michelin Primacy 3ST would be a very good option. This tyre offers an extremely comfortable ride quality, long tread life and excellent grip and handling. Regards, Ramit

    Q.
I am looking for best performance tyres for Honda idtec 2014 under 195 width. I don't want to compromise with the quality.
    A.

Hi Tarun, I am assuming that you want tyres for Honda City Idtec. ( As you did not specify vehice model in your question ). SUitable size in 195mm width would be 195/60 R15. I would suggest that you should go for Michelin Primacy 3ST tyres. These offer excellent wet and dry grip, exceptional ride comfort, precise handling and long tread life. However, if you have an aggressive driving style and want high-performance tyres then Bridgestone Potenza GIII tyres would be a great choice. These tyres offer exceptional wet and dry grip and crisp handling. But since these are high performance tyres, the ride comfort and tread life will not be as good as with Michelin Primacy 3ST. Hope this helps. Drive safe ! Regards, Ramit

    Q.
I recently bought Hyundai Elantra diesel AT, it currently runs on Hankook 205/60/16 and I am looking to replace the OEM tyre and alloys. I am not sure what size of tyre should I go for. The options i had in mind were: 215/60/16 215/55/16 215/55/17 215/50/17. Also which brand of tyre should i opt for, i want a comfortable ride without compromising on grip and performance. If i upsize to 17 inch will it affect the suspension and the fuel efficiency a lot ?
    A.

Hello Naval Pradeep, You should go for 215/60 R16 tyre size as it will offer better road grip and more responsive braking without impacting the ride quality and handling. Rest of the sizes mentioned by you are low profile tyres which would hamper the ride quality due to reduced side profile.  The rims/alloys may also get damaged easily over rough tarmac. You should go for Michelin Primacy 3ST. These tyres offer excellent ride quality, superior grip, precise handling and a very long tread life. You may also go for Bridgestone Turanza T001. This tyre is on par with Michelin in terms of grip and performance but lacks slightly in terms of ride quality. You can upsize to 17" alloys. It will not have any impact on fuel efficiency or ride quality. In fact, opting for tyres in 17" rims would offer better road grip and more responsive braking. But it is an expensive affair. Regards, Ramit.

    A.

    Hello Anil,

Keeping your requirements in mind, I would suggest that you go for Falken Azenis PT722 , to begin with, for your SX4 ZXI. It is a very good tyre and offers superior traction with precise handling and a very comfortable ride quality.  And in case you want something better then go for Michelin primacy 3 ST. This tyre offers superior traction, excellent handling, a very comfortable ride quality and  reduced braking distance for high safety, especially on wet roads. The tread life on this tyre is also very good. Regards, Ramit Anand

Hello Amol, Since your majority of usage is over highways, you would require tyres that not only perform well over weta ndd ry surfaces but are also very safe and offer a very comfortable ride quality. Keeping these factors in mind, I would recommend that you go for Bridgestone Turanza AR 20 or Michelin Energy XM2. Both these tyres offer superior wet and dry grip, precise handling and control, effective braking but in terms of ride quality and comfort, Michelin is a tad better than Bridgestone. want to buy a set of 4 tyres for Audi A4
    A.

Hi Manoj, Goodyear excellence would be a good tyre for your Audi A4, to begin with. It offers a very comfortable ride quality and is widely used as an Original Equipment on various luxury vehicles. Another good option would be Yokohana DNA db ES501 tyre. This tyre is popular for its very quiet and comfortable ride quality along with great handling and traction. Another good option would be Michelin Primacy 3ST. This tyre offers great comfort, even on rough roads, along with superior grip along and enhanced tyre life- A great value for money option. In case you want something top of the line, then Pirelli Cinturato P7. This tyre triumphs in all spheres including traction, ride quality, quietness and handling. The tread life on this is pretty good as well. Regards Ramit

    Q.
For Ford Endevoure 2013 4x2 auto
    A.

Hello Uday, I think Yokohama Geolandar A/T-S would be very good tyres for your Ford Endeavour. These are all-terrain tyres, and hence, offer great performance on-road as well as off-road. The braking, grip and tyre life on these are very good. You could also go for Goodyear Wrangler, but Geolandar would be a better buy. In case you want something top of the line, then Michelin LTX Force would be the perfect option for you. These tyres offer excellent wet and dry grip and have a very long tread life and very short braking distance, making them very safe. They offer high durability and are suitable for off-road as well as on-road drives. Regards, Ramit Regards
