i m thinking change my tyre with yokohama tryes.bcz i m buying new ELITE i20 car . the showroom has recommended yokohama 16 inchs tyre with mag wheelsRead More
Mag wheels are good, 16 " tyres would be good too and Yokohama is great..so far everything seems to be quite good. Yokohama A- Drive would be a good tyre to begin with. In case you want something better then go for Yokohama S- Drive.
However, keep in mind that these are performance oriented tyres. So while they will offer great performance and handling, they will wear out relatively soon as they are made up of soft rubber compound for high grip levels. In case you are looking at something which offers quiet and comfortable ride quality and has longer tyre life then go for Continental Conti Max Contact MC5.

Hi I am looking for a tyre change in my Skoda octavia elegance 2.0 TDI AT 2013 model. 205/55 R16 ran 50000 km. Is it the right time to change? Can I go for higher profile? Which are the best tyres for my car?Read More
Yes, you must change the tyres now for optimum safety and performance.
You can upsize to 215/55 R16.
Yokohama A.Drive would be a good tyre for your Octavia to start with. It offers good performance and handling. A better tyre would be Hankook Ventus V12 Evo. It offers great performance, comfort and handling.
In case you want a tyre which offers great comfort and long tyre life along with great grip then go for Michelin Primacy 3ST.

Hello Siddharth, I am having Fiat Linea Diesel Car with Goodyear tyre 195 60 R15 88T. These tyres are 5 years old. when I this time took for puncture repair. it was found that there were some cracks in two tyre and according to the technical the tyre are having too much tear and wear so asked me to change. Pl suggest 1) Can I change 2+2 in a month gap 2) should Change the same make of the tyreRead More
Tyres usually have a shelf life of almost 5 years. If the tyres are older than that then they offer very poor traction as they harden over time. Considering that, it is best to change all 4. If however, your running is very low and at a moderate speed, then you can change just front 2 tyres ( although still try replacing all 4 for optimum safety ).
Yes, you can change 2 tyres now and 2 few months from now. But best is to make sure all 4 are of same brand and same model. Mixing patterns and brands is not a great thing.
You not necessarily have to buy Goodyear, you can go for any other brand you like.
Yokohama A. Drive AA01 would be a great tyre for your Linea. Another tyre you could consider is Bridgestone Potenza G-III. They are pretty durable and offer a comfortable ride along with great grip. If you want to go for an economical option then Goodyear Duraplus would be a good thing to consider.
