Best A/T tyre for mahindra thar?

Hi Pathan,

I would suggest that you go for Yokohama Geolandar A/T-S tyre. It is a very capable all terrain tyre and is quite durable to cuts and abrasions. And widely spaced lugs would offer adequate traction.

Another model that you can look at MRF Wanderer O/R. This is more if an outright off-road tyre and hence would offer superb grip off-the road.

Hello Uday,

I think Yokohama Geolandar A/T-S would be very good tyres for your Ford Endeavour. These are all-terrain tyres, and hence, offer great performance on-road as well as off-road. The braking, grip and tyre life on these are very good. You could also go for Goodyear Wrangler, but Geolandar would be a better buy.

In case you want something top of the line, then Michelin LTX Force would be the perfect option for you. These tyres offer excellent wet and dry grip and have a very long tread life and very short braking distance, making them very safe. They offer high durability and are suitable for off-road as well as on-road drives.

Hi Atul,

Since the road conditions in your area are not that good, as mentioned by you, going for an All-Terrain tyre would be a good thing. These tyres perform pretty good on highways as well as over rough/rocky surfaces. Yokohama Geolandar A/T-S would be a pretty good tyre in this category.

However, if you think the majority of the usage would be over well paved roads, then go for highway terrain tyres. They offer a very comfortable ride quality along with decent level of durability over rough roads. In this category Falken Wildpeak H/T 01 and Bridgestone Dueler would be good options.

i need to change the tires on my Duster, touching 80k kms, which brand do you recommend, needed in bangalore..thanks

Hi Arvind,

If you majorly drive your Duster on highways or on city roads then go for Bridgestone Dueler D684 or Falken Wildpeak H/T01. They both are quite good and offer a quiet and comfortable ride. In case you have a budget constraint then you can use MRF Wanderer.

However, if you take your vehicle for off-roading or use it on rough terrains/roads, the Yokohama Geolandar A/T-S would be a pretty good tyre.

Hello Arppit,

You can upsize to 245/70 R16 or 255/65 R16. For extensive off-roading go for 255, although even 245 is a very capable size.

Yokohama Geolandar A/T-S would be a pretty good all terrain tyre.

Apollo Apterra HLS would be a good tyre to begin with for your Innova. In case you want something better you can choose out of Yokohama Earth-1 or Bridgestone Turanza AR20.

They both are pretty good tyres, you can't go wrong with either on of them.

Yokohama Geolandar A/T-S would be a better option if your vehicle is used over unpaved ,rough and muddy roads.
