Could you please suggest which company tyres is best for Honda city svmt (2015 model)?

Hi Mohit,

You should go for Michelin Energy XM2 or Bridgestone Turanza AR20. Both these tyres offer superb wet and dry grip, precise handling and comfort. But out of these two, Michelin would offer a better ride comfort while Turanza would be more durable over rough roads. So, decide accordingly.

If you want something cost effective then go for Yokohama Earth-1 tyre.

Could u plz suggest am planning to upsize my Honda city idtec v variant car tyre

Hello Dinesh,

Upsize Options :-

For your vehicle, there are 2 tyre upsizes suitable- 185/65 R15 and 195/60 R15.

You can go for any of these, depending upon your requirements. However, we would suggest that if you have a moderate driving style and are not very aggressive on the accelerator, then perhaps 185/65 should do the job for you. It would offer better road grip and more responsive braking without hampering the handling.

Size 195 may make the steering feel a bit heavy, due to the added weight of wider tyres. So, choose what suits your needs the best.

Tyres in 195 would cost you more. A better option would be to buy really good tyres in 185 size. But then, the decision has to be yours.

Recommended Tyre :-

If you are looking at an economical tyre which offers pretty good performance then I would recommend that you go for Bridgestone Firestone FR500 tyre. It comes equipped with an innovative tread compound that offers good wet and dry traction.

In case you want something better then go for Bridgestone Turanza AR20 tyre. If offers pretty amazing performance, superior wet and dry traction along with great ride comfort and long tyre life. You  could also go for Michelin Energy XM2 if your priority is ride comfort.

If you want a tyre that is fuel efficienct, then Bridgestone Ecopia EP150 would be a good choice. The company claims that this tyre can improve fuel efficiency of a vehicle by up to 7-10%. The grip level on  this is quite good, although not as good as Turanza AR20 or Michelin.

Regards

Ramit.
