Apollo launches Apterra HT2 tyre for SUVs and ActiZip F2, ActiZip R3 for two-wheelers

Indian tyre maker- Apollo Tyres has launched 3 new tyres in a bid to improve its overall market share. The company recently launched Apollo Apterra HT2 for SUVs and Apollo ActiZip F2 and ActiZip R3 for two-wheelers. The company, at present, has 17% market share in the tyres segment in India.

Apterra HT2, an addition to company's existing Apterra Tyres series, will be available in 6 different sizes. This would ensure size compatibility with popular SUVs like Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour, Mitsubishi Pajero, Mahindra Scorpio, Mahindra XUV500, Bolero, Volvo XC60 and many more.

The tyres, which are of Highway Terrain rating, come with a tread pattern that has been optimised to offer a comfortable and quiet ride quality. A central rib would improve high speed handling and control while wide contact patch will help with even wearing of the tyre, thus enhancing the tread life. Innovative tread compound and lateral sipes lead to superior dry and wet grip, making the tyres a very safe choice.

Apollo ActiZip F2 is a front fitment tyre available in 2 sizes whereas ActiZip R3 is for rear fitment, available in 3 new sizes. These tyres would be available in various sizes to cover almost 90% of the size demand in the two-wheeler tyre segment.
