Apollo tyres have inked a 5-year deal with Sachin Tendulkar, making the legendary cricketer as its brand ambassador. With this, the tyre brand aims to connect with global audience, especially the younger demographic.
Apollo tyres and Sachin Tendulkar have started a new partnership together, with the latter becoming the face of the tyre brand. The legendary cricketer has signed a 5-year deal with Apollo tyres as its brand ambassador. This is the first time that Apollo has associated itself with a celebrity, although the tyre manufacturer has been an active sponsor for many football teams.
Speaking on the association with Sachin Tendulkar, Apollo – Vice Chairman and MD, Neeraj Kanwar said, “Building the Apollo brand to its true potential is key to our growth. By securing Sachin Tendulkar’s association with our brand, we have embarked on an exciting journey together. I am sure this partnership will help us go the distance!”
Sachin, before this, was associated with MRF as brand ambassador, a deal which continued for over 2 decades. Through Sachin Apollo tyres aim at touching base with the younger demographic, who are more aware about the importance of good tyres and don’t shy away from making a sizeable investment in finding a good set of rubber for their vehicles.
In this line, Apollo is already one of the key sponsors of English Premier League club- Manchester United and Borussia Monchengladbach in German Bundesliga.
On domestic front, Apollo Tyres’ association with sports is furthered with sponsorship for Chennaiyin FC and Minerva Punjab FC in the Indian Super League.
