Ashok Leyland Launches New Dual Tyre Lift Axle Truck In India
Published On 03-Jan-2022
The introduction of the AVTR 3120 truck makes Ashok Leyland the only player in the country to offer a complete range of DTLA (Dual Tyre Lift Axle) trucks.
The leading commercial vehicle maker of the country, Ashok Leyland launched the new AVTR 3120 truck with Dual Tyre Lift Axle making it the first and only manufacturer to have a full range of such trucks in India. The 3-axle 6x2 DTLA now joins the 31 tonnes, 40.5 tonnes and 47.5 tonnes GVW nodes existing in the automaker’s current portfolio of commercial vehicles.
The Hinduja Group flagship Ashok Leyland says the truck is designed to serve the purpose of the consumer. The AVTR 3120 will function at 31 tonnes with the lift axle down and take more load than the conventional 6x2 trucks. Similarly, in cases where the lighter load/partial load is required, it consumes less fuel with the lift axle up at 18.5 tonnes and operating cost is in line with that of a traditional 4x2 truck.
On the release of the new DTLA truck, Sanjay Saraswat, Head (medium and heavy commercial vehicle), Ashok Leyland said, “Today, we have launched under our AVTR platform umbrella, an innovative product, the AVTR 3120 with Dual Tyre Lift Axle (DTLA). With this, we become the only OEM having this customer-centric and fuel-saving DLTA technology for the entire range.”
