BMW iX Electric SUV To Come Fitted With Pirelli Tyres

The tyres are made available in 21-inch and 22-inch rim options for maximum performance, stability and low rolling friction.
The new BMW iX electric SUV will soon be seen sailing with Pirelli P Zero Elect high-performance tyres. The tyres will be offered as original equipment to the xDrive50 trim and the more powerful and sporty M60 version.
The specially developed high-performance tyres by the Italian tyre maker come with a unique star on the edge to signify the collaboration between BMW and Pirelli. This also demonstrates Pirelli's ‘perfect fit’ ideology.
Pirelli P Zero Elect tyres possess exceptionally low rolling resistance for the BMW iX, to enable superior range in a single charge. P Zero Elect tyres for the BMW iX xDrive50 come in tyre sizes of 255/50 R21 109Y XL and 275/40 R22 107Y XL.
Apart from these two tyres, there is another tyre, a 22-inch BMW iX tyre, which contains an extra grip feature than the other two for outstanding high-speed performance. In addition to the star mark, it also receives “I” on the edge portion.
The Italian tyre manufacturer’s patented Elect technology developed for the German all-electric SUV furnishes fascinating driving comfort, minimal road noise, instantaneous grip, and essential safety. The Pirelli P Zero Elect tyres made for the BMW iX emphasise on the low rolling resistance aspect to ensure more travelling per charge.
These tyres acquire an ‘A’ rating on the European tyre index, which provides relaxed high-speed car performance. Against the regular standard Pirelli P Zero tyres, the Elect gets a special profile and better aerodynamics.
For optimal silence and comfort, for BMW iX drivers, the Pirelli Elect tyres are integrated with PNCS (Pirelli Noise Cancelling System) technology to arrest road noise. Pirelli’s latest Elect tyre technology has been awarded the 2021 ‘Hevea’ award at the Los Premios Hevea de la Industria del Neumatico in Spain.
