Bridgestone Announces Changes In Leadership

Shuichi Ishibashi will replace Masaaki as the global Chief Operating Officer of the company
Bridgestone has recently announced several changes in leadership in its American, Europe, Middle East, India and Africa (EMIA) regions. The corporation has reflected changes in leadership positions to develop strong and efficient results.
Gordon Knapp who was previously the Vice-Chair and Executive Officer of Bridgestone Corporation and President, CEO and COO of Bridgestone Americas, will be transitioning out of his executive role, effective from January 15, 2020. Knapp will now be serving as a strategic advisor to the company until he retires at March 31, 2020, after serving as President and CEO of Bridgestone Americas since 2016.
Paolo Ferrari, who currently holds the position of Executive Vice President, Executive Officer and Global Digital Strategic Officer of Bridgestone Corporation, and Member of the Board, CEO and President of Bridgestone Europe NV/SA (Bridgestone EMIA), and Chairman of the Bridgestone Americas Board, will be promoted to act as the President, CEO and COO of Bridgestone Americas effective from January 15, 2020. Ferrari will be succeeding Knapp for the position.
Masaaki Tsuya who currently is the Chairman, CEO and Representative Executive Officer of Bridgestone Corporation, will be taking the role of Chairman of the Bridgestone Americas Board. Shuichi Ishibashi will replace Masaaki as the global Chief Operating Officer of the company.
The other major changes by the company have been for Laurent Dartoux, who previously served as the Vice President and Officer of Bridgestone Corporation and Member of the Board, Chief Strategy and Marketing Officer and COO of Bridgestone EMIA who will be succeeding Ferrari to be the Vice President and Senior Officer of Bridgestone Corporation, effective January 1, 2020. Dartoux has also been named President and CEO of Bridgestone EMIA effective January 15, 2020, succeeding Ferrari.
Emilio Tiberio, who previously used to serve as Vice President and Officer of Bridgestone Corporation and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Bridgestone EMIA will now be serving as COO of Bridgestone EMIA, succeeding Dartoux, effective January 15, 2020.
The changes done by the Corporation reflect its focus on the global expansion and succession of the company, trying to develop the company into a global leader for providing advanced mobility.
