CEAT conferred with the coveted Deming Prize for TQM

2017 is turning out to be quite a year for CEAT. The year began well for them with the company winning the top spot at the J.D. Power 2017 India Original Equipment Tyre Customer Satisfaction Index (TCSI), followed by bagging the Creative Excellence Award at IndiAA Awards. And with 2017 entering its last quarter, CEAT has added an extremely precious entry to its long list of awards- The prestigious Deming Prize.
CEAT, a part of RPG Entreprise, was recently conferred with the Deming Prize for implementing Total Quality Management (TQM) to facilitate business transformation. This makes CEAT the first tyre brand in the world, outside of Japan, to win this coveted award.
The Deming Prize was founded in Japan in 1951 and is one of the oldest and most prestigious Quality Awards in the world.

Deming Prize was conceived by Japanese Union of Scientists & Engineers (JUSE) in the honor of famous statistician W. Edwards Deming, to acknowledge his contribution towards Japan's proliferation of statistical quality control in the post World War II times.
The felicitation ceremony to receive the award would take place on 8th Oct, 2017 at Tokyo,Japan.
