CEAT launches new range of Zoom XL tyres for Tork T6X

Popular tyre maker CEAT has launched a new range of its Zoom XL tyres, specially designed for the electric motorcycle Tork T6X. Zoom XL, a popular two wheeler tyre, has been suitably tweaked to accentuate the performance characterisitcs of the T6X.

Commenting on the development, Nitish Bajaj, Vice President-Marketing, CEAT, said, “The electric two-wheeler industry is set to witness a boom in the next few years in India, as we gear up towards smarter solutions in the automotive space. We at CEAT are keen to be a part of this evolution and our association with Tork Motorcycles is a testament to that."

CEAT conducted a series of rigorous testing along with exhaustive research in order to come up with this new series of Zoom XL. The tyres incorporate a mix of soft and hard rubber compound. While the centre of the tyre makes use of a hard rubber compound for enhanced tyre life, the sides come with a softer compound to enhance cornering capabilities and offer more traction. The tyre also offers low rolling resistance, thereby improving acceleration and reducing electricity consumption.

Tork T6X, a product by a Pune based start-up, is India's first electric performance motorcycle has created quite a stir in the automobile segment.

Bajaj added, "As the first-ever electric motorbike in the country, the Tork T6X is set to revolutionize the industry by adding an extra dimension that was missing before. We believe in making mobility safer and smarter, and customers will get this perfect combination with CEAT and Tork Motorcycles.”

Tork T6X is said to be an extremely power efficient vehicle, with company claiming a run of around 100 kms with one hour of charging. The vehicle has been launched at an introductory price of INR 1,24,999/-.
