CEAT Speciality Organises Two-day Vaccination Camp For its Employees, Customers

The Covid-19 vaccination drive was held at its Ambernath plant.

CEAT Speciality, the leading tyre maker for agricultural and industrial tyres, conducted a two-day vaccination camp for its employees and consumers at its Ambernath facility. The drive registered healthy engagement of inoculators with a total of 305 people participating.

Speaking on this occasion, Amit Tolani, Chief Executive, CEAT Specialty, said that it is their endeavour to ensure the safety of all its stakeholders including employees and consumers. The second wave has been tough but their employees, supplier partners and customers have shown tremendous grit, he added. In a step towards safety, he said that they felt that it was their moral responsibility to ensure their safety by getting them vaccinated.

The tyre maker has always been at the forefront of creating a healthy environment for its stakeholders and, in particular, during Covid-19.

CEAT laid strict safety measures at its plants which were wholeheartedly adhered to by its employees. Despite taking precautions, there were regular testings of the workforce as well to control the spread of infection. It’s their cautious efforts that ensured zero plant shutdowns during the pandemic.  

Since contact-less delivery of products was needed, CEAT’s supply chain worked flawlessly in not only delivering safe products but also in quick time despite challenges in transportation.

All its plants are running to their optimal capacity, in fact, the tyre maker looks to increase the production capacity of its Ambernath plant by 3 times from the current capability.

While the industry is reeling with the drop in sales, the tyre maker was able to register positive figures. This capacity boost will help it feed the increased demand and reduce lead times.
