CEAT To Supply Tyres For New Mahindra Thar 2020

2020 Thar to come equipped with Tyre Pressure Monitoring System
RPG group-owned CEAT has said that it will be supplying tyres for the all-new Mahindra Thar 2020. Scheduled to be launched on October 2, Thar will come with a 16-inch and 18-inch tyre size. The company will be supplying the tyres for both the models of Thar, CEAT Tyres Ltd said in a release.
Mahindra Thar will be offered in three trims - AX, AX Optional, and the LX. All three variants come with 4X4 as standard. A 16-inch steel wheel is standard on AX and AX Optional while the LX gets CEAT CZAR All-Terrain Tyres in 255/65 R18 size.
"We take pride in our association with Mahindra which has grown over the years. We have come a long way since our association for TUV 300 in 2015 and now we collaborate again for the new and iconic Mahindra Thar,” said Amit Tolani, Chief Marketing Officer, CEAT Tyres Ltd said.

What is Tyre Direction Monitoring System (TDMS)
Tyre direction monitoring system or TDMS assists you when a vehicle has just started and you are about to move the vehicle. It tells you about the current direction in which tyres are aligned at very beginning of manoeuvring the vehicle. TDMS works only when vehicle speed is zero and parking brake engaged or when vehicle speed is zero and vehicle is in neutral and clutch is not engaged.
