Due to the compound issues in the nation, the Indian market is now being targeted by Chinese reclaim rubber manufacturers. A reclaim rubber is generally used as a vital raw material in the manufacturing process of tyre or tubes and reclaim rubber producers based in China are looking forward to filling the gap between the demand and supply in India. According to reports, Tianyu (Shandong) Rubber and Plastic Products Co. Ltd, which is a Shandong based reclaim rubber producer is scaling up its client base in the Indian market.

The rubber maker runs two sites in Shandong and Tianjin, that can have a combined capacity of producing around 50,000 tons of reclaim rubber. However, it is only able to produce around 200 tons on general daily production. The Export Manager for Tianyu, Chadielhalabi, said in meeting at Tyrexpo India 2019 that "We are looking for customers in India, despite the huge domestic reclaim rubber sector. But there is still great demand that is met by imports; therefore, India could be a good potential market for us. We have a large production base in China and are keen on hiking exports."
As a part of its expansion scheme, an officer was recently appointed in Sri Lanka, which has large rubber and solid tyre base. "We have big companies in Sri Lanka, manufacturing tyre/tube, mattresses, conveyor belts, solid tyres etc., and most of the reclaimed rubber is being imported from India and Malaysia, but now we have been appointed by Tianyu in order expand its base there," said the Managing Director of Taplo Chem International Ltd, Arosha Dias. The brand (Tianyu) declared that it produces reclaimed rubber of better quality and tensile strength if compared to the Indian reclaim. Moreover, it provides products in a wide range of variety and also supplies on aggressive rates for long term orders.
