Chris Delaney takes over reins of Goodyear's Asia Pacific business

After working at the Goodyear Tire and Rubber's Asia Pacific business unit for four years, Daniel L. Smythka will now take up another leadership responsibility after leaving his position as President of Asia Pacific region. Chris Delaney will replace Smythka to become the new President of Goodyear, Asia Pacific region. He will officially take full responsibility for the business starting January 1. To make the transition smooth for Delaney, Smythka will be working closely with him initially. As the President of Asia Pacific region, Delaney will report directly to Goodyear's Chairman and CEO Richard J Kramer.
Before joining Goodyear, Delaney was working as the CEO of Goodman Fielder Limited, the largest public food company in Australia and New Zealand, for past four years. Apart from this, he has a global leadership experience of more than 30 years in Asia Pacific, North America, Europe and Middle east.
Delaney has spent 20 years of his career at Procter and Gamble Company where he has worked in sales and business development in both North America and Europe and then he became Vice President and General Manager, first in Middle East and then in North America. Delaney also devoted 7 years at Campbell Soup Company where he started as Head of International Sales and then went on to become President of Emerging Market and after that President of Asia pacific.
