Continental Launches New Range Of Passenger Vehicle Tyres In India

Continental has announced that it has launched new Generation 6 tyre range for passenger vehicle in India. It states that the Generation 6 tyres — UltraContact UC6 and ComfortContact CC6 — are designed to cope with challenging road conditions found across the country.

Tyre maker claims that both the tyre UltraContact UC6 and ComfortContact CC6 have been designed based on an in-depth understanding of the needs and driving habits of the Indian consumer.

Both the range of tyre are aimed to provide higher safety, low noise levels, higher mileage, robust sidewalls, improved fuel efficiency, and greater comfort, the company said. The gen-6 tyres will be produced at Continental’s Modipuram plant in Meerut.

“With the entry of Generation 6 tyres in India, Continental’s offering in the passenger vehicle segment is well established. It gives customers the choice to upgrade to the premium product in the market,” Claude d’Gama Rose, Head of Tires Business, Continental India, said.

Speaking about the company’s localisation strategy, Claude d’Gama Rose added that Continental’s philosophy of ‘in the market, for the market’ complements the entire manufacturing value chain, enabling it to bring German technology for the local market.

Continental UltraContact UC6

UltraContact UC6 provides higher safety on wet roads with enhanced water evacuation ability. It is made to offer short braking distance in dry and wet condition. Continental also promises excellent road grip and long mileage.

Continental ComfortContact CC6

ComfortContact CC6 tyre offer a comfortable ride with low noise level. Compound used in CC6 adapts to the roughness of the road surface for superior comfort. It absorbs tyre vibration to diffuse road noise and dampens micro bumps on the road so the tyre rolls smoothly.
