Peter Rapin is Goodyear's new Vice President and Treasurer

Goodyear has appointed Peter R. Rapin as the company's new Vice President and Treasurer. Rapin will be reporting directly to the company's Executive President and Chief Financial Officer Laura K. Thompson. Before this, Rapin was working as the Vice president, Treasury and Tax for TRW Automotive (currently a part of ZF Friedrichshafen AG), where he directed pension functions, global treasury, tax and insurance.
Laura K. Thompson said, "He is an accomplished finance executive with extensive treasury experience, an in-depth knowledge of the automotive industry and a proven leadership track record in corporate finance and we are pleased to welcome Peter to the Goodyear team."
Before joining TRW in 2003, Rapin was working at Engelhard Corp (specialty chemical company) for eight years. There, he served as an assistant treasurer from 1995-1995 and treasurer from 1998 to 2003. He began his career in 1981, working with Westinghouse Electric Corp, where he held various senior positions.
Rapin graduated with Bachelor of Science in Finance and did his Master of Business Administration study from Duquesne University.
Before Rapin, Thomas Kaczynski was serving as Goodyear's Treasurer since January 2014 but will be leaving the company on August 28, 2015 to take up another opportunity. Kaczynski had joined Goodyear in 2013 as Vice-President of Investor Relations position.
