Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres chosen by Land Rover as factory fitment on Range Rover Sport

Goodyear's Eagle F1 Asymmetric SUV tyre has been chosen to be the Original Equipment fitment on Land Rover Range Rover Sport SUV. Hans Vrijsen, Marketing Director, Goodyear Europe, Middle East and Africa, said, "We have worked with Jaguar Land Rover for many years on several fitments. We are proud of our fitment on the Range Rover Sport 2014."
This fresh homologation with the luxury car manufacturer builds on an Original Equipment supply deal that includes fitment for Range Rover Evoque and Discovery Sport.
"The Eagle F1 Asymmetric SUV tyre was a natural fit to complement the all-terrain performance of the latest Range Rover Sport,” said Vrijsen.
Goodyear believes that fitment of Eagle F1 tyre as Original Equipment complements the Range Rover Sport's road dynamics and agile handling. Goodyear's representative said, “The tyre offers cornering control so pressure is evenly distributed and road contact is maximised when cornering at high speed. It also provides improved handling on wet roads as compared to its predecessor via an asymmetric design that increases contact with the road surface and channels water to prevent aquaplaning. Finally, the tread pattern reduces noise for a quieter, more comfortable drive to match the luxurious interior of the car."
Land Rover Range Rover Sport is a more driver-focused Sports Utility Vehicle that is offered in both petrol and diesel engine options. The company is selling this model in quite a few variants which are S, SE, HSE and Autobiography. Its diesel variants are powered by a 3.0-litre V6 engine that produces maximum power of 288.3bhp in combination with a peak torque of 600 Nm. On the other hand, the Autobiography variant comes with a 5.0-litre, V8 petrol mill under the bonnet. It puts out 503bhp along with maximum torque output of 625 Nm.
