- The Assurance MaxGuard is equipped with ActiveGrip Technology that enables vehicles to help shorten stopping distance.
- Besides outstanding performance on the wet road and durability, the Assurance MaxGuard is built to deliver the very best in mileage as well.
Goodyear India recently announced the launch of Assurance MaxGuard, the latest member of the Assurance family, enabling drivers as well as passengers to enjoy the pleasure of driving backed by the promise of 2-in-1 protection.
ActiveGrip Technology-Grip Protection
Inspired by Goodyear 360 concept tires, The Assurance MaxGuard is equipped with ActiveGrip Technology that enables vehicles to help shorten stopping distance. The pioneering design of the water-wave shield pattern helps to increase friction and the optimized cavity shape increases the contact patch by 10%. Both features contribute to better performance on wet roads with shorter braking distance.
The new generation of full silica tread compound with 80% more silica combined with a wet booster resin adjusts to the road surface with more micro contact achieving a stronger grip on the road, especially in wet conditions.
DuraGuard Technology-Impact Protection
The armor-like shield pattern represents the robustness of Assurance MaxGuard. To build stronger and tougher tires to withstand road impacts, the engineers leveraged the DuraGuard Technology to optimize compound materials and tire construction. Extra robustness is supported by 2 layers carcass ply with higher cord density and strength and 2 belts with high tensile steel to cope with unexpected cuts and impacts.
Besides outstanding performance on the wet road and durability, the Assurance MaxGuard is built to deliver the very best in mileage as well. Nonskid gauges are increased by 10% to enhance wearable rubber volume while high-performance polymers matrix are added into the new compound formation to provide good wear resistance.
Sandeep Mahajan, Chairman & Managing Director of Goodyear India Ltd said, “At Goodyear we believe that every journey holds the potential for a unique experience. The launch of the Assurance MaxGuard range reflects our tireless dedication and commitment to elevate the driving experience for our consumers. The Assurance MaxGuard is designed to deliver new levels of safety enabling our consumers to explore the unlimited possibilities on the road. The exceptional wet performance and the reliable durability of the product offer comprehensive protection”.
He added, “Goodyear has been a leader in tire innovation over the last 125 years and have continuously strived to provide top-of-the-line products that align seamlessly with the ever-evolving demands of our customers.”
The Assurance MaxGuard is available in 7 sizes and expects more in the future. It fits a wide range of mid segment vehicles.
