Hankook becomes official tyre supplier for Dutch Supercar Racing

It has been declared that participating teams in the Dutch Racing would shod their cars with Hankook Tires. The race, which witnesses participation from a variety of car categories including Sports cars, Supercars and Grand Touring vehicles, will make use of popular Hankook Ventus Race As F200 as slicks and Hankook Z 207 model as the wet tyre.
This new development is in tandem with Hankook’s increased emphasis on creating Ultra High Performance tyres. The race would provide to be a good platform for the South Korean tyre maker to improve their products
Manfred Sandbichler, Director , Hankook’s Motorsport, Europe, commented on the development, “ This year Hankook has clearly demonstrated its global success in the motorsport field. And, as the year draws to a close, we are showing how we are continuing to grow. Our new venture is a very special racing series with more than 40 participants, including both touring cars and also GT racing cars. We look forward to this promising partnership.”
The 2017 season of the Dutch Racing would commence April 14 onwards at Zandvoort. Races would stretch over eight weekends across location in Germany, The Netherlands, England, Austria and Belgium.
The race would see participation from a variety of vehicles belonging to 4 classes- GT, Supersport 1, Supersport 2 and Sport. These would include vehicles of rear as well as front wheel drive-train, including Renault Clio RS, Porsche 997 GT3, Porsche Cayman GT4, BMW M4 Silhouette, BMW 235i Racing and many more.

The weekend schedule for race would involve two 40 minute training sessions on Friday followed by qualifying and first race on Saturday. Sunday would be the day for the second race. Each race would stretch over an hour plus an additional lap with pit stop.
