The small car from Hyundai may be out of production but you don’t need to worry about tyre replacement. Read on to know complete Eon tyre information.
Hyundai sold its Eon in India for more than 8 years. The smallest fluidic car in the company’s India portfolio breathe its last in March 2019 when the mandatory safety norms were imposed across the passenger car industry.
Initially launched to combat the iron fist control of the Maruti Suzuki Alto and 800 on the segment, the Hyundai Eon was quite successful. It created its own cult following. Those who wanted a premium taste in the budget went for this Hyundai hatch. It is among the few cars in the country which never received a major facelift yet continued to look modern.
Launched in 2011, the Hyundai Eon had an 800cc puny engine which developed 55bhp of max power and 75Nm of torque. However, it could not compete with a sportier 1.0-litre motor of the Maruti Suzuki Alto K10. Soon, the Korean boy also got a 1.0-litre three-cylinder Kappa series engine in 2014. Mated to a five-speed manual gearbox, the bigger engine produced 65bhp and 95Nm of torque.
The last iteration of the Eon had the same timeless design with fluidic creases seen around the body. At the front, it gets swept back headlamps guarding the hexagonal family grille of Hyundai. Certainly, the sculpted bonnet and neatly tucked fog lamps make it appear a segment-above car. The fluidic contours best appear from the sides.
Beefed up wheel arches and the shoulder line from just behind the headlamp unit merging with the tail lamps make up for an impactful design. At the rear, the Hyundai Eon gets large tail lamps and a smart little tailgate. The chrome emblem of Hyundai sits at the centre between the tail lamps.
Inside, the hatchback feels premium with a neatly appointed cabin. The materials feel top-notch considering its segment. The dual-tone dash, intelligent storage spaces and comfortable seats made it a car to buy for first-time car buyers. Just like any Hyundai, the Eon too drummed headlines for its extensive feature list unheard in the segment before.
