Here Are The Best Tyres For Jaguar XE
Published On 03-May-2022
Compared to more popular new-generation SUVs, there are still a bunch of sedans available that offer a much better driving experience behind the steering wheel. The Jaguar XE is one such sedan, and here, we will be discussing the most suitable tyre options matching its driving prowess.
Amidst the German trio of Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Audi, Jaguar offers its contention as a different brand, which offers the same levels of luxury, but with character in the way they drive and feel on the inside. For a long time, Jaguar’s presence was limited in India with the XF and XJ sedans. But in 2016, the British brand became more accessible to the Indian audience with its most affordable offering ever, the XE sedan.
Positioned against the likes of established cars like the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, BMW 3-Series and Audi A4, the Jaguar XE offers an added sense of sportiness in the way it looks and performs. The car came to the Indian market in 2016, and in 2019, it received revisions to its exterior looks, cabin, engine options and variant line-up.
With the facelifted avatar that hit the Indian shores in 2019, the Jaguar XE became much sleeker and sportier to look at, with some of the design cues inspired by the mighty F-Type sports car. The inspiration is evident from the way XE looks from the front.
The XE gets a larger grille rounded from the edges and has an all-black appeal with honeycomb inserts. The grille is now flanked with all-LED headlamps with L-shaped daytime running LEDs, which look slimmer than before and are inspired by the F-Type. The sportiness of the XE is further enhanced by the new air dams on the corners of the front bumper, which also get honeycomb inserts.
The facelifted version got very few changes on the side profile, with the only visual difference here being the different design for the 17-inch alloy wheels. The Jaguar XE looks clean and elegant from the side, with a fender-mounted black garnish and curvy-looking front and rear fenders.
The curved bulges on the front bonnet and rounded roofline add a special coupe-like flavour to the overall design. The rear profile too is tweaked with revised tail lamps with new LED inserts and indicators and a reworked bumper with a new diffuser at the bottom.

The cabin of the Jaguar XE is a perfect example of how sophistication and sportiness can co-exist on the same podium. The all-black interior looks elegant, and with the facelift, inclusions of a new full-TFT instrument console, a new touchscreen infotainment system and a new touchscreen for adjustments to the automatic climate control and seat functions have made the cabin look futuristic as well. Jaguar replaced the rotary-style gear lever with a more conventional stubby gear lever, while the upper dashboard and door insert now get premium soft-touch plastics instead of hard plastics.
Unlike the pre-facelifted version, which was on sale with both 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol and 2.0-litre diesel engine, the current facelifted version now gets only a petrol powertrain for its two-variant line-up. In its BS6 guise, the 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine now pumps out 250PS of maximum power and 365Nm of maximum torque. It comes with a rear-wheel-drive configuration and an 8-speed automatic gearbox as standard.
