Here Are The Best Tyres For KTM 125 Duke

Some entry-level bikes are built with the same attitude in mind as the bigger bikes, and the KTM 125 Duke is no exception. The light iteration of the 390, the Duke 125 is designed for buyers that are more inclined towards value, and don’t care much about the maniac performance, which is typically linked with the brand. The bike was first launched in 2018 and then re-launched with minor updates in 2020.

In terms of styling, the bike is identical to the 200, 250 and 390 versions. However, the LED headlight in the 250 and 390 models has been replaced by the halogen type in 200 Duke.

The LCD digital instrument panel carried forward from 200 Duke is quite informative, keeping you updated with the current speed, fuel consumption and distance to empty. The engine cowl and the radiator shrouds are also redesigned, while the full LED taillamp lends it a sporty look.

The KTM 125 Duke gets a 124cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder fuel-injection motor that produces 14.5PS and 12Nm of torque, paired to a 6-speed gearbox. The 2021 Duke 125 comes with the revamped frame featuring steel trellis type as seen in some of its elder siblings, with a bolt-on-steel subframe.

The bike comes with a Triple rate spring and inverted telescopic fork (USD) at the front, and a double rate, 10-steps adjustable Mono shock suspension at the rear.

The braking mechanism remains the same with 300mm at the front and 250mm disc brakes at the rear, with single-channel ABS for enhanced safety. The bike now gets a bigger 13.5L fuel tank resulting in the weight change, which is now 159kg, 7kg more than the previous one. The seat height has also gone up from 818mm to 822mm.

The 125 Duke is available in a single variant and sole orange & white dual-tone body paint. The bike challenges the likes of TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, Honda Hornet 2.0, Yamaha MT-15, and Bajaj Pulsar NS200 in its segment.
