Published On 22-Nov-2021
Toyota Etios was a popular entry-level sedan known for low-running cost and affordability. Below are the complete replacement tyres details of this car.
Toyota marked its entry into the compact sedan space with Etios in the Indian market in 2010. The segment was largely dominated by the big three Maruti, Hyundai and Tata, but the Japanese carmaker did a great job by pitching itself in the mass market space with Etios. The car had a decent run in the Indian market, especially among the fleet owners and got the facelift in 2013 and subsequently in 2016.
Toyota Etios’ core strength has always been its practicality. And this is the reason it was called one of the most dependable sedans. The bold design of the car consists of a wide front bumper, high-mounted grille and traditional headlamps. The side profile has been subtle, with creases and 15-inch alloy wheels providing some character to the overall design. The rear profile features revamped bumpers, large tail lamps and a chrome strip with red reflectors.
The spacious cabin and the practicality have always been the unique selling points of Etios. The wider front seats provide excellent support, while the rear offers adequate legroom. The seats are one of the cosiest in its class, providing enough space for three adults. The car was nothing short of comfort and convenience as it came with steering mounted controls, AC with 360-degree rotating vents, electrically foldable ORVMs, cooled glove box, rear centre armrest, foldable rear seats and height-adjustable driver seat, among others.
The safety was also good with features including dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX child-seat mounts, front fog lamps, rear defogger, reverse parking sensors and speed alert system.
The Etios was available with the 1.4L diesel engine that generated 68PS and 170Nm, and also, the 1.5L petrol engine that produced 90PS and 132Nm torque. A 5-speed manual gearbox came standard with the engines. As it was a popular car among the taxi segment, the fuel efficiency was also high, with petrol and diesel variants delivering 16kmpl and 23kmpl respectively.
