Apollo launches long-life Amazer 4G Life tyres in India

Apollo has launched a new series of high-mileage passenger car tyres in the Indian market. Called the Amazer 4G Life, the new tyres will offer superior longevity of up to 100,000 kilometers or more, the manufacturer claims.

The Apollo Amazer 4G Life has been jointly developed by the company’s global R&D centres in Chennai, India and Enschede, the Netherlands. With these new long-lasting tyres, Apollo will be targeting mileage-conscious buyers, which undoubtedly constitute to a major chunk of tyre sales in the country.

Apollo will be offering 2 years of unconditional warranty with the Amazer 4G Life tyres. The tyre will be available initially in 5 sizes and with T speed rating only. The tyres will be sold through the company’s premium outlets called Apollo Zones/Points and other select dealers across the country.

Speaking about the new tyre, Satish Sharma, President, Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa, Apollo Tyres, said, “This tyre is a result of an intensive market study done by our internal team in the past 2-3 years to assess the gap in the tyres available in the market. This product gap, along with feedback from the customers, was utilised by our R&D team to develop this technologically-advanced tyre, with superior longevity, especially for the Indian road conditions. Our controlled test results have proven that the tyre can go up to 100,000 km and beyond.”

Further, Apollo claims that these tyres feature a six-layered protection that resists cuts/punctures and ensures durability in different road conditions. The tyre tread is designed to promote even tread wear, Apollo says. The company has also tested the Amazer 4G Life tyres in real-world driving conditions so as to validate its performance.

By bringing the new series of affordable and long-lasting tyres, Apollo is looking forward to push its market share in OE as well as replacement market in the country. The company currently enjoys a 17% market share in the replacement market and around 21% share in the OE sector for passenger cars tyre segment.
