With the new Exter, Hyundai is strengthening its SUV lineup and is offering another small car with an SUV-ish essence. Here, we explain the different tyre options offered in the new Hyundai Exter, along with its list of features and engine:
- The new Hyundai Exter is available in five monotone and three dual-tone colour options.
- The EX, EX(O), S and S (O) variants come with 165/70 R14 tyres, while the SX, SX (O) and SX (O) Connect variants come with larger 175/65 R15 tyres.

Hyundai has lifted the covers off the much-anticipated Exter micro-SUV. Positioned below the Venue compact SUV, the new 2023 Hyundai Exter has been launched as a direct rival to the likes of Tata Punch and Citroen C3.
The Hyundai Exter features a bold exterior design, comprising of split headlamp design with H-shaped daytime running LEDs above and halogen projectors below. For a rugged look, the Hyundai Exter comes with body cladding all around, roof rails and thick-looking faux skid plates at the front and rear. The top-spec variants also feature 15-inch machined alloy wheels.
The layout of the cabin of the 2023 Hyundai Exter has been much shared with the Grand i10 Nios and is offered in three trim choices – Light Sage, Cosmic Blue and Silver. The cabin gets some upmarket features like a fully-digital instrument console, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a push start-stop button and automatic climate control. It also gets a few first-in-segment features like a wireless charger, sunroof and dashcam.
The colour options offered in the new Hyundai Exter are Ranger Khaki, Cosmic Blue, Atlas White, Titan Grey and Fiery Red. The Ranger Khaki, Cosmic Blue and Atlas White are also available in dual-tone themes with blacked roof and rearview mirrors.

JK Tyres entered into a partnership with Hyundai a few months ago for tyre solutions for its range of SUVs. The JK UX Royale offered in the Hyundai Exter is a part of the agreement, and has been made available in both 14-inch and 15-inch tyre sizes for the micro-SUV.
The Hyundai Exter is being offered in seven variants – EX, EX (O), S, S (O), SX, SX (O) and SX (O) Connect. The EX, EX (O), S and S (O) variants come equipped with 165/70 R14 tyres, whereas the SX, SX (O) and SX (O) Connect have larger-sized 175/65 R15 tyres. Both the 14-inch and 15-inch tyres offered in the Hyundai Exter lineup are JK UX Royale tubeless radial tyres. A 165/70 R14 JK UX Royale tyre over 14-inch steel wheel is offered as a spare tyre in all the variants.

About JK UX Royale
The Hyundai Exter is being positioned as a smart and easy-to-drive vehicle for urban roads, where the optimized footprint pressure distribution in the JK UX Royale enhances the ride comfort and easiness in the driving experience even more. For a quieter driving feel, this tyre has a multi pitch sequence which reduces road noises filtering in the cabin.
The best highlight of the JK UX Royale for Hyundai Exter is its effective performance on wet surfaces. Engine and Specifications
The only engine option offered in the Hyundai Exter is a 1.2-litre four-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol engine. Shared with the Grand i10 Nios, Aura, i20 and Venue, this 1.2-litre petrol engine is capable of delivering 83 PS of maximum power and 113.8 Nm of maximum torque. A 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT are the transmission options offered in the 2023 Exter.
The newly-launched micro-SUV from Hyundai is also available with CNG variants, in which the engine produces 69 PS of power and 95 Nm of torque in the CNG mode while being paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard.
