Pirelli has offered three hardest tyre- the C1s, C2s and C3s-in order to cope up with the most punishing track on the calendar for tyre wear
Mercedes has opted for a conservative approach to its tyre selection like it did in Sochi for next week’s Japanese Grand Prix. The Silver Arrows have gone with eight sets of soft tyres, one fewer than other teams, and used it to take an extra set of mediums compared to Ferrari and Red Bull.
Pirelli mandates one set of each of the Soft, Medium and Hard Tyres, while for their remaining 10 sets teams are permitted free choice.
