Yokohama India, along with New Bharat Tyres, has launched Kerala's second Yokohama Club Network (YCN) shop. With the inauguration of this shop, Yokohama now has a total of 34 specialised YCN in India. The shop is located in a highly-industrialised region in Ernakulam, Kerala.
Sanjay Chatterjee, General Manager of Yokohama India Pvt Ltd, said, "The opening of this YCN is a proud moment for us. YCNs are the best way to showcase the Yokohama India offerings and product superiority."
Nithin Mathew, Owner of New Bharath Tyres, said, "Our shop is equipped with the best machinery for offering any tyre-related service. Yokohama India has started offering India-specific tyres and we hope that will help us in showcasing a more acceptable range."
This newly-opened YCN has ample parking space and is equipped with the best machinery. It aims to offer world-class wheels and tyre-related services in a one-stop shop.
YCN-specialised network is the result of Yokohama’s global philosophy to develop Point of Sales to provide world-class tyre-buying experience. In total, Yokohama has 750 point of sales in India, out of which, 34 are Yokohama Club Network (YCN).
Although tube-type tyre still takes a considerable market share of the total passenger car radials sold, Yokohama India does not offer any tube-type tyre and only competes in the tubeless tyre segment. Last year, Yokohama India started manufacturing tyres in India itself. This facility located in Bahadurgarh was built with Rs 300 crore investment and currently manufactures Yokohama Earth-1 Tyres and the S.Drive tyres.
