Michelin conducted a special event for its brand loyalists across the world where they were given the opportunity to drive race cars on a race track as a part of the Michelin Pilot Sport Experience. The event was held at Sepang International Formula 1 circuit in Kuala Lampur, Malaysia. Motorsports enthusiasts from 15 different countries were able to enjoy the experience of getting behind the wheels of some of the world's most competitive racing cars.
"Michelin's affiliation with mobility has been long, prolific and rewarding, tapping into numerous opportunities to consistently strengthen its bond with safety and innovation," said Philippe Verneuil, Chairman and President of Michelin Africa, India and Middle East Zone.
He added, "The Michelin Pilot Sport Experience is an event we consider of great importance as it allows us to demonstrate to our customers and fans of motorsports how the brand actually measures up to its high standards of safety and quality. We are delighted to have received participation from the Middle East and Africa region this year as they form a key part of our target market."
This was the tenth edition of the Michelin Pilot Sport Experience. This time, the French tyre giant also engaged fans from UAE, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar, Egypt and South Africa through multiple digital platforms. Out of all the enthusiasts, ten lucky people were offered this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to become a part of Michelin's Pilot Sport Experience. At this event, different racing cars from multiple racing series were provided to the participants to experience various types of racing including Formula 4 racing, rally racing in a Citroën DS3 R1 and touring car racing in a Renault Clio IV.
At the end of the event, participants were also given a chance to sit beside professional racers for few laps onboard cars like the Lamborghini Gallardo GT3 and the Formula Le Mans.
