Michelin Introduces New Range of Commercial Vehicle Tyres in India

The new series of Michelin X Multi tyres can be retreaded and regrooved.
The world’s leading tyre manufacturer has launched a new range of commercial tyres in India on Tuesday. The latest Michelin 295/80R22.5 X MULTI Z2 entails the latest state of the art technology of the tyre major which guarantees market-leading safety features and longevity.
In the statement released, Michelin says that the ‘Made In India’ tyre all-position tyre fitment is for both Regional and Highway bus operators.
On the introduction of the new range, Gaganjot Singh, President of Michelin Africa, India and Middle East Region said that in line with their global strategy of Sustainable Mobility, they continue to extend their India portfolio with products that are fuel-efficient, safe and durable. The latest MULTI Z2 incorporates Michelin’s patented technologies which increase safety quotient and aid in meeting their delivery timing and efficiency.

He said that the adoption of this new tyre will help bus fleet owners increase their productivity while reducing the total ownership cost and raising their profit margins. Singh looked confident that the new range is sure to stir the bus tyre markets across India with its exceptionally high performance and value to fleet customers.
As per the release, the range gets a 30% extended tread life with its self-regenerating tread design and even wear. The reinforced tread plies and strengthen bead endurance give strong control during longer journeys.
The all-weather character of the Michelin 295/80R22.5 X MULTI Z2 coupled with Infinicoil technology, which makes it run even when punctured, is likely to make it a preferred tyre for buses in the country. Moreover, it promises to be less prone to damages due to stronger bead endurance.
Every X MULTI tyre features the 3PMSF symbol indicating a strong grip on wet roads. Even with the 2mm of tread left, the traction capability is intact, Michelin stated in the press release.
Like all Michelin CV tyres, the latest X MULTI is made in line with the tyremaker’s ‘Everything Sustainable’ plan which means it can be regrooved and retreaded. Recounting the benefit to the consumer as well as the environment, it said that with this range of tyres, commercial vehicle drivers would be able to reduce their running cost and at the same time, have a lesser impact on the environment.
Michelin 295/80R22.5 X MULTI Z2 is now available with all the authorized truck tyre dealerships across the country.
