Michelin has launched the Latitude Sport 3 tyre in India. The premium range of SUV tyres from the French tyre manufacturer come with a unique tread pattern with variable tread blocks that provide a safe and silent ride. By launching the Latitude Sport 3 tyre in India, Michelin has further extended its product range in the country. The tyre provides a pleasurable drive and maximum performance for the Indian SUV and CUV owners.
The newly-launched Latitude Sport 3 (LS3) is the third generation of Latitude on-road SUV and CUV tyres in the Michelin product line-up. The tyre has a unique design that provides it with the maximum control and power so that it can support the weight of the vehicle efficiently. Furthermore, it provides outstanding grip on all kinds of on-road surfaces.
In comparison with its predecessor, the new LS3 tyres stop 2.70 meters shorter on wet surfaces with an improvement of 4 per cent in dry surface braking. Also, the tyre maker has reduced the rolling resistance of the LS3 by up to 25 per cent that makes it more fuel efficient. In addition to this, the Latitude Sport 3 tyre provides a comfortable ride and enhances the steering response by transferring maximum torque while braking or accelerating. A special kind of tread compound has been used that gives the tyre a greater durability. Also, the tyre uses a 2 ply casing that provides it with enhanced strength.
Mohan Kumar, Commercial Director, Michelin India, said, “We are delighted to bring the iconic Latitude Sport 3 tyres to the Indian market at a time when demand for premium SUVs in India is growing. The Latitude Sport 3 will cater to the tech-savvy and upwardly mobile consumer who wants a dynamic and luxury performance with the practicality of everyday use.”
A number of luxury SUVs like the new Porsche Macan and BMW X5 sport Michelin Latitude Sport 3 tyres as factory fitment. In India, the tyre will be offered in 4 sizes at all Michelin premium dealerships, Michelin Priority Partners and Tyre Plus shops.
