Michelin invites racers to test six new racing tyres in Power Evo challenge
Michelin is inviting all motorcycle racers to take part in the Michelin Power Evo Challenge on the occasion of the launch of its six new racing tyres. The company has launched this promotion at tracks throughout North America through its authorized Michelin Race Tyre Distributor – Island Racing Services, Sportbike Tyre Service, Motoace and Kennedy Motorsports.

The motorcycle racers who take part in the challenge should choose from the all-new racer tyre line-up and report their best track times with the Michelin Moto Lap Timer app. Michelin Moto Lap Timer app is available for purchase on Apple and Android devices.

Moreover, the participants should also share their experience via social media and on Michelin’s tyres review site.

The Evo range of tyres is designed to meet the needs of all riders from the professional racer to the track-day enthusiast. Riders can choose from a Michelin Power Slick Evo, Michelin Power Cup Evo or a Michelin Power SuperSport Evo front tyre with a qualifying rear tyre purchase, till stock lasts.

The three tyres that are best suited for road racing or trackday are:

  • Power Slick Evo: It is ideal for weekend racers. They are easy to handle and features Michelin Adaptive Casing Technology (ACT) and a new highly versatile rubber compound that avoids having to make difficult tyre choices related to weather and track conditions.
  • Power Cup Evo: It is the treaded version of the Michelin Power Slick Evo.
  • Power SuperSport Evo: It is designed for both road and track use. It delivers excellent longevity combined with wet and dry performance due to a combination of new rubber compounds and Michelin Adaptive Casing Technology (ACT).

The other three newly-launched products are professional race tyres, namely, Power SuperMoto, Power Slick Ultimate and Power Cup Ultimate.
