The bike was first revealed globally at EICMA 2022 and now have been introduced in India for adventure enthusiasts. The bookings have already started, and deliveries for the same will commence from February 1. The Super Meteor 650 is built on a new frame, as compared to the current 650 siblings, featuring some of the firsts from the brand.
The bike gets the same 648cc, parallel twin, 4-stroke, SOHC, air-oil cooled engine taken from Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650. The powertrain makes 47PS and 52.3Nm torque, coupled with a 6-speed transmission. Though the engine is identical, it has undergone many changes such as a different airbox, exhaust system, revised mapping and slightly shorter gearing.
The motor is cradled in a split-double downtube steel tubular spine frame suspended on USD front forks and a twin shock absorber with preload-adjustable at the rear. The company has used the chunky Showa 43mm USD fork for the first time. The bike gets braking support from 320mm and 300mm disc brakes at the front and the back, respectively. Both ends are coupled with dual-channel ABS. It comes with a kerb weight of 241kgs, the highest in any RE bike.

In terms of styling, the bike takes inspiration from the junior Meteor 350 featuring a full-LED headlight, a first for an RE bike, a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, low-sculpted comfy split seat and muscular fenders that add to the overall personality of the cruiser. The bike gets a clean-looking rear profile with simple brake light mounted on the fender and a LED taillamp, while the 740mm seat height inspired confidence.
The Super Meteor 650 comes with 19-inch alloy wheels at the front and 16-inch at the rear. It also gets a fuel tank capacity of 15.7L and 135mm of ground clearance. The cruiser gets a single-pod semi-digital instrument panel taken from Meteor 350. The instrument offers all the information regarding the journey, complemented by a Tripper navigation display. It also gets a USB 2.0 Type-A charging port.
The bike rivals the likes of the Kawasaki Vulcan S in its class, however, it is much more affordable than the Japanese counterpart. Moreover, motorcycles such as QJMotor SRV 300 and Keeway (Benda) V302C, which cost less than Super Meteor 650, cannot match the performance of the latter.
