Skoda has recently unleashed its contender in the hottest compact SUV segment in India. The all-new Skoda Kushaq price in India starts at INR 10.49 lakh for the Active variant, and the range goes up to INR 17.59 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Style variant.

Kushaq is an all-new approach from Skoda, and it has high expectations from this car looking at what people in India want from a vehicle of this stature. And so far, it seems the car is garnering an overwhelming response from the customers, with the initial bookings close to the 3,000 mark.

Skoda India is currently offering three trims for the Kushaq, namely Active, Ambition and Style. The compact SUV is available in two engine options - the 1.0L turbocharged motor generating 115PS and 175Nm of torque, and the other 1.5L turbocharged engine that makes 150PS and 250Nm of torque. 

Where the smaller 1.0L unit is available with the choices of 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic, the powerful 1.5L engine can be paired with either a 6-speed manual or 7-speed DCT gearbox.

In terms of styling, the car is unmistakably Skoda, sporting the same familiar face with signature grille and LED projector headlamps. At the side, the Active and Style variants get the 205/60 R16 tyres, with 16-inch Lhotse steel wheels in the former and 16-inch Grus alloy wheels in the latter.

The Ambition variant, on the other hand, is equipped with 205/55 R17 tyres shod with 17-inch Atlas alloy wheels. The rear profile is highlighted by boomerang-styled split tail-lamp clusters and the Skoda badge in the middle.

Skoda Kushaq Tyres and Wheels

Skoda is presently offering three tyre options for the Kushaq. Both the Active and the Ambition variants come fitted with 16-inch wheels with the 205/60 tyre size. However, in terms of wheels, the Ambition gets alloy instead of steel. 

The top-spec Style is equipped with 205/55 tyres with 17-inch alloy wheels. Similarly, the Active and Ambition variants get a 15-inch spare wheel, the top of the range Active gets a 16-inch spare wheel.
