Tata has finally pulled off the wraps from the much-awaited Punch. Launched as a micro-SUV, the Tata Punch has the footprints of a compact hatchback but has the stance and design theme of an SUV. Priced between Rs 5.49 lakh and Rs 9.09 lakh (ex-showroom), the new Tata Punch is aiming at two birds with one arrow. By targeting both similarly priced hatchbacks and entry-level variants of sub-four metre SUVs.
The main attraction of the Tata Punch has to be the way it looks – it is inspired by the bigger Tata SUVs like Nexon and Harrier. The split headlamps, humanity-line front grille, tough-looking body cladding all around, roof rails and 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels make it look very distinctive.
The cabin of the Tata Punch is decently equipped with all the features one would expect from a car of this class. It gets a free-mounted 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, push-button start-stop, electrically adjustable and foldable rearview mirrors, height-adjustable driver seat, 7-inch TFT screen in instrument console, automatic climate control and multi-functional steering wheel with cruise control.

About Apollo Alnac 4G
Both 195/60 R16 and 185/70 R15 tyre options for different variants of Tata Punch are units of the Apollo Alnac 4G tyre range. The tyre is known for offering excellent levels of stability during both long-distance touring and low-speed city driving.
While the larger outer shoulder of the tread pattern aids in maintaining stability at higher speeds, the stiffer rib at the centre of the tyre and specially optimized contact patch helps in keeping the car well under control at low speed.
The tyre also performs brilliantly during sudden braking conditions, as its tread compound is made up of higher-quality rubber. This rubber is processed at a higher glass transition temperature.
