This Is The World’s Most Expensive Tyre

Want to make a style statement with your car, there is nothing quite like a set of shiny wheels studded with gold and diamond. Zenises, a Dubai based company holds the record for the world’s most expensive tyre according to Guinness World Record.

The insanely priced Z branded 295/35 ZR21 107Y XL tyres come embedded with gold and diamond, with a set of four tyre costing an exorbitant $600,000. The tyres were designed in Dubai and were produced in the Sentury Tire Factory in Qingdao, Shandong Province, China.

Zenises sent the tyres to Italy to be decorated by an artisan, Joaillier Prive, who added specially-chose diamond stones to the tyres. Later the tyres were brought to Abu Dhabi where the application of gold leafing was done by the same craftsman who has also worked on the new presidential palace.

To put things in perspective, the tyres used for the Airbus A380 – the world’s largest airliner, costs about $95,000. These used to be considered the priciest tyre in the world. To qualify for the Guinness World Record, tyres must also be commercially available and must physically function on a car.
