Considered a coupe-styled version of the XC40 Recharge, the Volvo C40 Recharge has been introduced in India in a single fully-loaded variant, which has been brought in with an all-wheel drive configuration at Rs 61.25 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
Here, we examine the tyre options offered in this stylish-looking all-electric SUV-coupe from Volvo, and what are its technical specifications and features on offer:
Volvo C40 Recharge: Tyres & Wheels

The Volvo C40 Recharge is one of those few high-end luxury vehicles, which come equipped with different-sized front and rear tyres. This all-electric SUV comes with 19-inch aero alloy wheels as standard, with the front tyres being 235/50 R19 tubeless radial units and the rear tyres being 255/45 R19 tyres. For these tyre sizes, the India-spec Volvo C40 Recharge comes equipped with Pirelli P Zero tubeless radial tyres.
The Pirelli P Zero tyre is considered one of the most ultra-high-performance tyres for SUVs, which is a good match for the exhilarating performance claimed by this coupe SUV. The Pirelli P Zero for Volvo C40 Recharge has an asymmetric tread pattern for both front and rear tyre sizes, which helps the tyre in enhancing its performance and control while braking.
Over wet surfaces, the new nano-composite compound of the Pirelli P Zero is instrumental in enhancing grip levels. In addition, the special s-shaped grooves in the tread area of the Pirelli P Zero reduce cabin noise levels which filter in the cabin.

Volvo C40 Recharge: Looks & Design:
Compared to the upright and angular design of the XC40 Recharge, the new Volvo C40 Recharge has a more visually dramatic design, especially towards the rear with the sloping coupe-like roofline. The front profile with the close grille and all-LED headlamps and Thor’s hammer-shaped daytime running LEDs are shared with the XC40 Recharge. Towards the rear, the Volvo C40 Recharge has a steeply-raked rear windscreen, along with a more dynamic-looking pair of wraparound LED tail lamps.
The cabin of the Volvo C40 Recharge is a direct lift-off from the XC40 Recharge, with the cabin getting premium elements like gloss black touches, charcoal interior inserts, topography décor and connected suede textile with Microtech upholstery as standard. This SUV-coupe gets features like a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone automatic climate control, 12-inch full-TFT instrument console, 9-inch portrait-style touchscreen infotainment system and various driver assistance systems.
Volvo C40 Recharge: Engine & Specifications
The Volvo C40 Recharge comes with a dual motor setup, which has a combined power output of 408 PS and a peak torque output of 660 Nm, making it one of the most powerful all-electric vehicles in its price range. The 78 kWh battery pack of the C40 Recharge claims 530 km of maximum driving range, with the battery capable of charging up 0-80 per cent in 27 minutes. The C40 Recharge can also do a 0-100 kmph run in 4.7 seconds.
