Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R: Tyres & Wheels
Like most of the middleweight sports bikes in the market, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R also comes with 17-inch alloy wheels wrapped with a 120/70 ZR17 tyre at the front and a 180/55 ZR17 tyre at the rear. The tyres featured in the Ninja ZX-6R as standard are Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV, the fourth-generation version of the revered Pirelli Diablo Rosso tyres for sports bikes.
The Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV for Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R has lower ply chords end-count for more space for rubber, which enhances riding feeling and reduces tyre noises while riding. This Pirelli tyre also has a reduced void/fill ratio for the mid-lean area for a higher footprint area and better stress distribution for mid-lean grips. The new front profile with reduced curvature on the shoulders results in a wider contact patch in full lean riding conditions, eventually resulting in quicker handlebar responses while cornering.
The Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV also has a flash tread pattern design, which increases stability levels on wetter surfaces at higher speeds. While the cap and base multi-compound layout helps in quicker warming, the full silica compound further increases performance on both wet and dry roads.

This time, Kawasaki has made some minor changes to the front profile of the Ninja ZX-6R, which now features redesigned LED headlamps and revised ram air intake in between them. The rest of the supersport fully-faired design is the same as before, with the motorcycle getting low-set clip-on handlebars and split seat design.
Also new to the motorcycle is the 4.3-inch TFT instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, which has replaced the part-digital instrument cluster offered in the previous version. The new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R is also equipped with riding aids like four riding modes (sport, road, rain and rider), traction control, selectable power modes and bi-directional quick-shifter.
Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R: Engine & Specifications
The Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R has made minor changes to the internals of its four-stroke, liquid-cooled, inline-four, 636cc engine, which is now compliant with BS6 stage-II emission norms. The engine continues to be paired with a 6-speed transmission and churns out 129 PS of maximum power and 69 Nm of maximum torque.
