The Fazer FI V2.0 was available with the 149cc air-cooled engine, developing 13.1PS and 12.8Nm torque, while the Fazer 25 employed the 249cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected motor that pumps out a whopping 20.9PS and 20Nm torque. A 5-speed gearbox came as standard. The fuel injection technology produces better refinement and throttle response.

The suspension duties are handled by a telescopic fork up front and a mono-shock at the rear. The braking setup includes discs at the front and the rear, with dual-channel ABS for further strengthening safety during panic braking.
