Origin and Expansion
TVS Eurogrip, the new brand of TVS Srichakra Limited, is the tyre manufacturing wing of the larger TVS Group, the USD 8 billion conglomerate in India. The company is one of the leading tyre producers of two-wheelers, three-wheelers and commercial vehicles.
The firm, founded in 1982, has a significant presence among the OEMs and is an emerging entity in the two and three-wheeler tyre segment of the country.
The brand Srichakra Tyres (STL) was created by two holding companies R Naresh T V Sundram Iyengar & Sons Pvt. Ltd. and Sundaram Industries Pvt. Ltd. Over the last two decades, the tyre manufacturer has strengthened its manufacturing capacity and distribution network across the country.
TVS Eurogrip is a result of global design and technological ingenuity that made it a bike tyre specialist showing its serious ambition for the new generation. The company is not only a major OEM tyre supplier to the parent TVS Motors but also to the most leading brands in the automotive sector.
The brand is keen on producing tyres with cutting-edge technology accompanied by true knowledge of local road conditions. Apart from two and three-wheelers, the TVS Eurogrip has also a strong presence in Industrial Pneumatic Tyres, Skid-steer tyres, Farm and Implement Tyres, Floatation Tyres and Multi-purpose tyres.
With a passion for developing tyres that promote riding experience, the company manufactures 2.3 million tyres every month, coming out of its two plants in Pantnagar town of Uttarakhand and Madurai city of Tamil Nadu.
The brand is also one of the leading exporters of two and three-wheeler tyres which have been a result of splurging global demand. Recently, the tyremaker pledge to invest INR 1000 crore in the expansion plan to increase the manufacturing capacity in Madurai and Pantnagar units.
The three-year investment plan will increase the production capacity by 25-30 per cent and double the capacity for off-highway tyre production from the current volume. The investment also includes a plan to ramp up the portfolio of radial tyres and other premium products.
In 2021, the tyremaker also entered the European market with its Beel Connect range of tyres to tap the booming scooter segment despite the advanced and challenging conditions out there.
Each prototype underwent rigorous testing in both indoor and outdoor conditions on European roads and race tracks. The company is constantly making efforts in the design process by studying market trends and riders’ requirements. The company has partnered with many world leaders in the field of Automotive Systems and Components manufacturing.
Apart from tyres, the brand has been named as one of the principal sponsors of the Gujarat Lions franchise for the 9th edition of the IPL (Indian Premier League). The company also partnered with Michelin to produce bias motorcycles and scooters tyres at its Madurai plant, designed by Michelin for the Indian market.
Facilities
TVS Eurogrip is a result of creative and extensive consumer research and substantial investments in the global research and development, design and technology platforms. The company has set up a new design and innovation centre in Milan, Italy.
The design hub is the brain behind tyres currently being rolled out for the European markets. The meticulous research and development process at the centre involves various elements of a tyre from construction, tread pattern to compound and profile.
Through its local manufacturing plant in Tamil Nadu and Uttarakhand, the company has launched a series of 19 premium tyres that comprises industry-leading zero-degree steel-belted radial tyres. These products enhance stability at high speeds and are rated to run at speeds up to 270kmph.

Passenger Car Tyre
TVS Eurogrip is yet to enter the passenger car segment and is currently evaluating opportunities in the four-wheeler segment. However, it does have a presence in the three-wheeler segment with products such as Jaya, Streetking and Badshah designed for load-carrying vehicles and auto-rickshaws.
Motorcycle and Scooter Tyre
The company is a specialist when it comes to two-wheeler tyres. The wide range of products includes tyres from entry-level to high-performance motorcycles and scooters. These tyres are uniquely designed to cater the Indian road conditions and come with superior grip and handling capability.
Some of the known names in the two-wheeler segment include the Eurogrip Dragon series, Eurogrip Conta series, Eurogrip ATT series, Eurogrip RIB, Eurogrip Sportorq series and Eurogrip Protorq series.
Truck Tyre
TVS Eurogrip also has a sound presence in the ultra-light truck segment. The tyres made for this category are optimised to offer a higher contact area and lend enhanced grip, longevity and ample load-carrying capacity. The tyremaker currently sells the Toofan series of tyres in the segment.
Manufacturing facilities in India and abroad
The company has state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities at Madurai (Tamil Nadu) and Rudrapur (Uttarakhand) spread over 2.9 lakh sq.m. The tyremaker has a global presence in 6 continents and 70 countries and currently a leading exporter to countries in South East Asia, South America, Europe, the USA, and African markets.
