Generally tyres lasts for about 40,000-50,000 km. However this figure is just an estimated figure. Tyre wear depends on number of factors like your driving style, general maintenance like alignment/balancing and checking tyre pressures regularly.

Driving a tyre with an uneven wear pattern will greatly reduce steering response- the car will tend to ‘pull away’ which will eventually be of great concern to you as a driver. Birla tyres, which was established in the year 1991, is a part of Kesoram Industries Limited. This has its headquarters located in Kolkata, India. The same year, it collaborated with the renowned tyre maker, Pirelli, for the manufacture and development of tyres. Its first production house was set up in Balasore, Orissa followed by state-of-the-art Laksar-Haridwar plant in Uttaranchal. This unit presently produces more than 44 lakh truck tyres annually, whereas the company has a combined production capacity of 2,98,660 metric tonnes. Haridwar- Laksar tyre plant awarded with Certificate of Environmental management system ISO 14001: 2004 for the design and manufacture of tyres and tubes. 
ISO 9001:2008 Certificate of quality management system for the Balasore tyre plant with respect to the design and production of tyres and tubes for automobiles. 
Special Export Award for the year 2012 – 2013 in recognition of their export achievement for automobile tyres, tubes and flaps.
