    Q.
I have an Interceptor 650 2019 model, Baker Express and have completed around 28K in stock tyres of Pirelli. Now it's time to upgrade both the tyres. I know Ceat tyres are now stock tyres for Interceptor 650 but want to go for upgrade without compromising on quality, sustainability and safety. I commute daily to my company but during most of weekends i go for long rides of around 150-200kms.Kindly suggest best tyres considering my riding pattern and availability in India. I am from Navi Mumbai.
    A.

The RE Interceptor 650 is fitted with a special tyre size of 100/90-18 at front and 130/70-18 at rear. Thus, apart from the stock CEAT Zoom Cruz or Pirelli Phantom Sportscomp, it is hard to find any other normal alternative. Nevertheless, you can check the Michelin Sirac Street (front) 100/90-18 and Metzeler ME880 Marathon (rear) 130/70-18.

    Q.
I want to see if sportscomp are really not recommended for pillion weight since I can see only 60 kg is rated for load. where as sports demon are rated better but they speed rating is 160 kmph. I have rode around 170 on my interceptor and that limit will really get the sports demon out. What is the good recommendation for a good grip high speed tyre combined with a decent load rating. budget no bar
    A.

You seem to be talking about the rear Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 tyre that reads a size of 130/70-18 63H. Here in the load index and speed rating are given in codes as '63' and 'H' which stands for 272 kgs and 210 km per hour respectively. Hence you easily carry a pillion rider along. Moreover, the Pirelli Sport Demon 130/70-18 also comes with the same load index and speed rating as the Pirelli Phantom Sportscomp. Therefore, without any worries, you can accelerate and get the pillion on.
