The new Tata Punch.EV is a drastic step up over the petrol Punch in terms of styling and features while charting a new journey with Tata Motors’ first-born-electric architecture. Here are all the technical details and the tyre options recommended for the Tata Punch.EV lineup:
- The Tata Punch.EV has been introduced in two versions – Standard Range and Long Range, with the prices of the range starting at Rs 10.99 lakh.

- The Tata Punch.EV sits on an all-new ‘acti.ev’ born-electric architecture and gets a revised front profile and more new-age features over the petrol version of Punch.
Tata began the year 2024 on an exciting note with the Punch.EV, an all-new electric car positioned between the Tiago.EV and Nexon.EV. Built on an all-new born-electric platform named ‘acti.ev’, the new Tata Punch.EV range is primarily offered in two versions – Standard Range and Long Range, with the prices starting at Rs 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
The new Tata Punch.EV gets significant design revisions over the petrol-powered Punch, especially at the front. The new Punch.EV gets a blanked fascia at the front with no functional grille, and features revised triangular vertical housings for LED headlamps and new-age continuous daytime running LEDs with connected LED light bar in between them.
The Tata Punch.EV remains the same on the inside as the petrol Punch, though it gets more features and new leather upholstery. The new screens introduced in the Punch.EV include a 10.25-inch full-TFT instrument console and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. More features are offered in the new Punch.EV include a revised panel for the auto AC switches, six airbags, ventilated front seats, a wireless charger, a 360-degree parking camera, a sunroof and more.
There are two powertrain options introduced by Tata Motors for the Punch.EV. The Standard Range has a front-mounted motor, which claims 81.5 PS/114 Nm, while its 25kWh battery claims a 315 km range. On the other hand, the front-mounted motor of the Long Range version generates 122 PS/190 Nm, while its 35kWh battery delivers 421 km claimed range.
Tata Punch.EV Tyres & Wheels
The Tata Punch.EV range is primarily available in eight variants – Smart, Smart+, Adventure, Adventure S, Empowered, Empowered S, Empowered+ and Empowered+ S. While the Standard Range is available in all eight variants, the Long Range doesn’t come in the base-spec Smart and Smart+ variants.
The Smart, Smart+, Adventure and Adventure S variants of the standard Range come with 15-inch steel wheels wrapped with 185/70 R15 tyres. The rest of the variants have 16-inch wheels – steel wheels in Adventure and Adventure S of Long Range and alloy wheels in Empowered, Empowered S, Empowered+ and Empowered+ S of both Standard Range and Long Range. These 16-inch wheels are shod with 195/60 R16 tyres.
