The Hyundai Creta debuted in India in 2015 and was immediately established as one of the most successful SUVs in the history of the country. The first-gen version sold between 2015 to 2020 came with two petrol engines – a 1.4-litre 90 PS petrol and a 1.6-litre 123 PS petrol, and a 1.6-litre 126 PS diesel engine.

The second-gen version of the Hyundai Creta, which came in 2020, arrived with a completely different powertrain lineup, including a 1.5-litre 115 PS petrol, a 1.4-litre 140 PS turbo-petrol and a 1.5-litre 115 PS diesel. There are multiple choices of transmissions to choose from across the powertrain options, including a 6-speed manual, 6-speed iMT, 6-speed torque converter, CVT and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
