According to Bridgestone, in the UK, the company has sold more original equipment truck and bus radial tyres in the month of June this year compared to any other month during the span of past seven years. The company has not released any sales volume figures to prove this claim, but Bridgestone's representative said that they have sold thousands of OE tyres in June. He also said the manufacturer's sales have increased due to increasing requests from fleets.

“The results underline an impressive first half for Bridgestone’s commercial team, which has already returned a number of notable results and achievements, including a series of new fleet wins and contract extensions. OE sales have increased dramatically for the company over the past three years, culminating in the biggest spike to date in June,” explained Bridgestone in a statement.

Bridgestone's customer portfolio includes many companies like Dennison Trailers, Fruehauf, Gray & Adams, Dennis Eagle vehicles and Cartwright Trailers. Bridgestone's national fleet Sales Manager Chris Buchanan said that combining premium products and efficient services has played a major role in achieving record breaking sales in the month of June.

He added, “It has been a three-year process to get to this point, where relationships have been forged and where we have really explained the benefits of our premium products. Price is always an issue, but fleets really appreciate the longevity of our tyres, not to mention the technology that goes into each and every one of our tyres.”

“However, I feel that our efficient response to any fleet request really does separate us from our competitors and our bespoke, tailored team can turn around any order in seven days or under,” Buchanan adds. “With up to 190 different tyre and wheel combinations, this really does play a huge part in our overall OE proposition to fleets.”

Recent commercial fleet wins, including contract extention with Axis and Arla and significant deal with First Bus group, have helped push the sales figures in the month of June. Shortly, the company will also make a series of other impressive fleet announcements.
