Bridgestone To Unite EMEA Biz Unit With India Ops In 2020

Bridgestone, one of the leading tyre manufacturers, has announced that it would merge its Indian business with Middle-East, Europe and Africa block (EMEA) from 2020. This move would separate this block from the strategic business unit of China Asia-Pacific. The brand said in a release that it aims to unhitch untapped possibilities in both EMEA and India. According to the company, the alliance of India enterprise into EMEA appears as an outcome of the last-mentioned ongoing conversion profiting on the possibilities of digitalisation proposals.
The company said "From January 1, Bridgestone India business will fall into the EMEA SBU, transferring from the China Asia-Pacific SBU. As a result, Bridgestone Europe, Russia, Middle East and Africa (BSEMEA) will become Bridgestone Europe, Russia, the Middle East, India and Africa (BSEMIA), one of four SBUs globally, alongside its business in Japan, the Americas and China Asia-Pacific region."
The president for EMEA and chief executive officer, Paolo Ferrari said that the Indian market has a significant amount of potential and the brand is confined to operate with India to transform the brand into an advance mobility solutions provider across the regions where it’s business unit functions.
